Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ
“How does therapy work?”
First you need to find a therapist that is a “fit” for you. The most important step is for you to feel that you are starting a safe, non-judgmental relationship in which your confidentiality is protected at all times.</>
“Can I talk to you between sessions if I need to?”
Yes, sometimes a “little check in” is just what is needed. I am very accessible. If you are traveling or ill, we can also set up a full 50 minute phone session.
“Do you think that premarital therapy is a good idea?”
Absolutely! So often there are unexplored areas that need to be addressed.
“What is your fee?”
$90.00 per 50 minute session, but your consultation is free so that we can meet in person and talk about your needs.
“My daughter was suspended from school for cocaine use. Do you treat adolescents?”
I love working with teens and drug use is often one of their most prevalent problems.
“Can I come to see you first and then bring in my boyfriend later if he is willing?
Yes, sometimes it’s useful to explore your personal thoughts and feelings first.

Can therapy help?
“It is counterproductive for the therapist to remain opaque and hidden. There is every reason to reveal oneself and no good reason for concealment.”
